Thai Pavillion

Thai Pavillion

Everyone has been asking me where I took the photos of the Thai pavillion, so here goes.

The Thai pavilion is the centerpiece of the Thai Garden in Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin.  No nails, no screws, and no metal fasteners of any kind were used to craft this pavillion.  It was assembled by Thai craftsmen in Thailand, then dis-assembled and shipped to Madison. The Thai artisans then re-assembled the pavilion in the Gardens.

The open-air pavilion, called a “sala” in Thailand, is 40 feet long, 22 feet wide, and 30 feet high. It was gifted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison from the Thai Chapter of the Wisconsin Alumni Association and the government of Thailand through its king and bears the Royal seal of the Thai crown.

Fathers' Rights

Fathers' Rights

So, I read Newsweek very frequently and today I read an article by Dahlia Lithwick on Rethinking Fathers' Rights.  Very smart lady, who hit it right on the head.

She thinks that we need to improve the family-court system and to do this by telling true stories of real people.  And to not glorify the tales of kidnappings, and murder by the violent father that has finally snapped.  I agree with her because I have lived through this and have seen what a custody case can do to a man.

Josh was a gentle soul that needed someone to love, his ex-wife was a dirty whore, who liked to play games with Josh.  Josh really wanted custody of his daughter but the courts were biased to the woman and left his daughter with his ex-wife.  Josh tried to fight his ex-wife multiple times for visitation rights and every time she won.  Finally, Josh felt beaten and overdosed one sad and lonely night.

The night Josh died was the worst night of my life and I will never forget him.  I also will never forgive his ex-wife for all of the games she played with him.  I just hope his daughter can one day grow up and know that her daddy was a good man.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Recently, I became bored with my life and with Corporate America, so about two months ago I left to find my passion in life.  It is a great feeling to just get up and go, but it is also scary at the same time.

I am pretty much doing whatever I want right now.  I am an avid traveler, photographer, writer, blogger, and a dog walker.  I tutor people in French, and I am always interested in learning other languages.

I have no stress in life, and it's great!

Check out my other pages if you wish.
